How to Add an Additional Domain to Your Site

Why add an additional domain

Many businesses want their site to be reachable under several domains - for example, shop.am and shop.com. Multiple domains pointing to a single site.

Step 1. Add the domain in MyWeb

1. Log in to your main dashboard
2. Click "Settings" on the site card
3. In the "Domain" section, click "Add domain"
4. Either choose to buy a new domain through MyWeb, or connect a domain you already own

Step 2. Point the DNS

If the domain was bought from an external registrar, point it to MyWeb's servers. See "How to Point Your Domain".

Step 3. Confirm the certificate

The SSL certificate is issued automatically for the additional domain about 5-10 minutes after the DNS is pointed. To verify, open https://newdomain.com - if it still shows "Not Secure", wait another 10 minutes and refresh the page.

How much does it cost?

Registering an additional domain is paid (depending on the TLD, e.g. about 12,000 AMD/year for .am). However, we charge no extra fee for connecting a domain to MyWeb. In other words, connecting a domain you already own is free.
