How to Temporarily Suspend or Reactivate Your Website

Why suspend a website

In some situations it makes sense to take your site offline temporarily:

• During a long vacation, when no one is keeping an eye on the site
• During a major rebuild, so visitors don't see a half-finished site
• After a security incident, until your review is complete

How to suspend

1. Sign in to your dashboard
2. Click "Manage" on the website card
3. Scroll down to the "Maintenance" section
4. Click "Suspend website"

While the site is suspended, visitors see a "This site is temporarily unavailable" page. Admin access (WP Admin) keeps working as usual.

To reactivate

In the same section, click "Reactivate website". Your site becomes available again immediately.

Billing while suspended

The billing cycle continues, because your files remain stored on the server. If you want to pause payments temporarily, contact support.
